Maternity Bra

Maternity Bras are essential for any pregnant woman, whether or not you eventually choose to breastfeed. A Maternity Bra can also be known as a nursing bra and can be worn throughout your pregnancy and whilst you are breastfeeding.

Why do I need a Maternity Bra?
Expanding boobs can be one of the first things many mums to be notice when you are pregnant and a good maternity bra will keep you well supported throughout your pregnancy. By the end of your first trimester many women have outgrown their regular bras, and this was certainly my experience. It is important to make sure you have the right maternity bra size.

Finding a great Maternity Bra
I designed this website as a breast-feeding mother of two who had challenges finding a sexy maternity bra range here in Australia, being larger than average (an F cup) meant that many shops didn’t cater for me, and there are plenty of girls out there bigger than me. Although I am big online shopper I was apprehensive to buy a maternity bra online as I wanted to make sure I got measured properly for the rest of my pregnancy, didn’t want to risk getting the wrong size and doing damage to my precious boobs, however, the challenges of having a small toddler in tow meant that browsing the stores in the shopping centre wasn’t an option for me. I am still breastfeeding now and I am a big fan of the Hot Milk Maternity Bra range.

How many Maternity Bras do I need?
You need to buy at least 2 or 3 bras, I find my bras get quite sweaty (sorry too much information) and need changing regularly. Also your breasts will sometimes leak or the baby will be sick on you meaning more changes of underwear and clothes! Many bras say they should be handwashed rather than put in the washing machine, not very convenient with everything else you need to do!

Maternity Bra Buying Tips
- Your ribs will expand throughout your pregnancy so make sure the first bra you buy is comfortable on the first row of eyes, this allows plenty of space for expansion as your rub cage expands.
- Towards the end of your pregnancy, you can get a bra which is comfortable on the last two row of eyes, your rib cage will contract back into place once you have had your baby and this will allow the bra to fit throughout.
- Make the cups are smooth and no part of your breast is overflowing over the top of the cup. Lower sections of the cup should fit well for support and you should allow for extra room in the upper cup for when your milk comes in. As your breasts get bigger you can loosen the shoulder straps to avoid restriction but still make sure you have plenty of support.

I hope this site helps you find a good range of sexy maternity bras that make you feel like a woman at this special time of your life.
